TESCO ARE TRYING AGAIN...

Following on from recently rejected plans for unrestricted 24hr-7 days a week deliveries to their controversial Hattersley store, it would appear that TESCO are again attempting to bypass the wishes of the people of Tameside and their council’s 'democratic' planning process, as they attempt to appeal their planning application rejection.

Once again the giant retailer has submitted an application for the Hattersley superstore, to remove Condition 23 which was a condition imposed by the council’s Speakers Panel in order to protect Hattersley house owners from continuous noise and disruption to the residential area.

Of course this is of no real surprise as we are well aware of how TESCO operate; but it makes one wonder if anyone on Tameside council or anyone with influence in the planning department can identify with this story in the DailyTelegraph?

It’s now down to the council to show us who dictates planning policy in Tameside

…our elected councillors or TESCO.

All this greenfield destruction is caused by the immigrant led population explosion.
That was caused by the lunatic immigration policies of the three main parties going back decades.
That was cuased by them being perpetually in power in one form or another.
And THAT was caused by the British people.

  2. Tesco, every little hurts.

The bully boys of the retail world. Never been in and never will do. I would starve before shopping at Tesco.

Somehow Curmudgeon your off track with this suggestion highlighted above.
TMBC have been fixing planning applications for years with
subtle changes to terminology inc extremely limited time for verbal objections ie 3 minutes with no come back on TMBC responses.
Backing a major development Kingswater/Waterside on United Utilities land against the wishes of over 30,000 signed objectors, yet TMBC as custodians of the Greater Manchester Pension Funds had over £27 million invested in United Utils
via a created UU back street office (Innvotec) in Salford where the investment transactions occurred.
Planning Applications have been TMBC`s back room speciality
for years, with cases which confirm their actions.

  4. Thats got TMBC in a mess seeing their votes in Hattersley have always been a must to retain hence the money pumped into
    Hattersley.
Votes at any costs have always been an objective of Tameside Council in various Tameside area`s.

  5. J HALL,
A point well made sir. Similar to when the councillors lecture us about the dangers of 'smoking' yet sit on over £45millon in pension fund investments in the tobacco companies! (A subject for another day, me thinks!)
However, I was highlighting the current TESCO story and trying to get people to focus on the efficacy of our current councillors who sit pontificating on the Speakers Panel.

  6. Anyone who thinks ANYTHING Labour do in ANY ward will stop the 1200 loyalists and deadheads voting them in again next time, (with the assistance of the 'can't be bothered' 75% who don't vote) is extremely naive.
