Ed Miliband now says: Immigration Must Work For All

It would seem that everyone's jumping on the immigration bandwagon now!

The problem is I feel the issue is not going to be discussed in a practical way.

Call me cynical if you must, but it seems to me, that since the Eastleigh by-election, we have seen a glut of posturing politicians, leaning left, right and some bent over backwards because they are running scared of UKIP!

As for young Wallace; It's a pity he didn't do something during his years in office!

What people listening to this tripe (which apparently is being aired tonight) must be made to understand is by signing away our nation’s sovereignty to the EU, the debate on immigration is purely academic! - No matter what young Wallace says. And for him now to say “When we were in power we got it wrong” is tantamount to pissing up our back and then telling us it’s raining!

Our continued membership of the EU has rendered our politicians totally powerless to stop the mass movement of either Eastern, Western, Northern or Southern Europeans from arriving in our country in search of a better life.

There really is only one answer, but which mainstream political party will address the issue? - Not Labour, not the Lib Dems. Conservatives? possibly, UKIP definitely!

  1. More and more people are becoming disillusioned
the the 3 main parties. UKIP now seems the only party in line with most people's views.

A subject my friends and I were recently discussing was voting in a General Election.

It would be a good idea if on the ballot paper was an option to tick a box 'none of these'. Unfortunately this will never happen, as no government would ever sanction it.

Maybe that would finally get the message over to our 'leaders' that we need politicians with some balls.

    1. Bill, you're absolutely right! However, one could always add 'none of the above' to your ballot paper!

I was pondering over the 'local' elections and wondered if democracy would be better served, if, as one is well awares; local voting changes nothing because of Labour's iron grip, what would happen if nobody voted?

      How would it be called?
