In today’s technological world, nothing screams,
"worthless website!" louder than out-of-date information. Sharing
news from two years ago is not a good idea.
According to a web site hosted by no less than 3 Tameside
councillors, www.longdendalelabourcouncillors.co.uk the last thing that happened in Longdendale was a Salsa Evening at the Magdalene
Centre on 22nd February 2014, and they haven’t managed to concoct an answer to
a resident’s simple question since it was posed in March!
That being the case, one must deduce that if their website
looks stale, then its function cannot be considered a priority and consequently
their attitude to their counselling roll must follow suit.
Don’t these councillors realise that if ‘The Advertiser’ or ‘Reporter’
was an exact replica of the previous week's edition, and carried the same articles
week after week, month after month, it is an absolute certainty that before
long people would stop buying it…. Oh hang on!
Now that is an interesting post . . .watching the 'Town Teams' of Tameside set up their very own 'Useless Websites' I note that at the bottom of each is 'AS ONE DESIGNS'. How curious I am that these independent 'Town Teams' set up by the people for the people all chose to use a 'preferred supplier' of TMBC ! Yet more avenues of propaganda (useless as they maybe) set up by TMBC. It just makes me wonder what Grant Shapps and his accomplice - Mary Portas would make of TMBC's manipulation of what was originally a good idea ?
ReplyDeleteApathy's their stock in trade, and also what gets them perpetually re-elected.
ReplyDeleteThe non-voting three quarters are the ones really responsible.
Latest from our Councillors, selling off Mossley Market .Protests gathering by residents! Quinn and Taylor invited to meeting at George Lawton Hall ,where 750 protestors gathered! Neither attended!
ReplyDeleteIf, IF, the land is sold off it will be interesting to see who to and for how much. The tendering process will be interesting. Come to think about it, it will be interesting to see what covenants, if any. may e attached to the land. Anyone in Mossley checked with the Land Registry?
DeleteOn second thoughts couldn't it be declared a "village green", there is a precident....see

I may be totally wrong but someone more local could check.
Housing space.
ReplyDeleteTaylor's in depth, perceptive analysis of Tameside's dog mess problem would have been vital.
ReplyDeleteTaylors latest venture is getting legal advice ,and then getting Council to try fining motorists who park on kerb.I know this can cause problems ,but come on thats up to the Police, not Taylor. What next fining anyone he finds not voting Labour. His arrogance is beyond belief at times!
