WE NEED FACTS MORE THAN EVER.

Right now, it’s difficult to know what or who to trust. Misinformation is spreading like wild fire. Politics and the media are pushing their views to the limit and are positively salivating over the uncertainty about the future. With all the indicative votes all defeated and Mrs May now going against her Ministers and turning to Jeremy Corbyn, today, we need facts more than ever.
So let’s look at the stat’s supplied by The Office of National Statistics regarding the UK’s international trading figures.

According to the Office for National Statistics about 44% of UK exports in goods and services went to other countries in the EU in 2017 (that’s £274billion out of £616billion) of total exports.
However, that share has generally been declining, since exports to other countries have increased at a faster rate.

That means that European nations are heavily invested in their continued good relationship with the UK. The UK is the fourth-largest importer in the world, and the EU needs British import demand.
EU member states’ trade ties with the UK vary, but several European economies send a significant amount of their exports to Britain.

For instance, nearly 14% of Irish exports went to the UK in 2015. 9% of the Netherlands’ exports and 7.4% of Germany’s exports also went to this nation in 2015. With countries like Germany facing reduced global demand for their goods. The fact is that European governments cannot afford to lose access to British customers. And they’d be crazy to cut us off or make trade more expensive by imposing punishing tariffs.

The UK is at present a major contributor to the EU’s budget

12.6% of the EU’s revenues came from the UK in 2015. When less developed countries joined the EU, the older members took on a greater financial burden. They hoped that expansion would boost investment opportunities and enhance the bloc’s security in the long term.
If the UK were to leave the EU without a deal in place we would still carry on trading with the EU, but under the rules laid down by the World Trade Organisation: This is what people mean by a “no deal Brexit”.

This means the UK could remove tariffs on some goods that currently face them via the EU.
The European Union currently has 28 member countries.

According to the EU’s projections, the population in European Union is expected to be 514.01 Million by the end of this year, according to Trading Economics global macro models and analysts expectations. In the long-term, the European Union Population is projected to trend around 515.84 Million in 2020, according to our econometric models.
The current population of the United Kingdom is 66,861,016 as of Sunday, March 31, 2019, based on the latest United Nations estimates.

Should the UK ever actually leave the EU, the EU’s total population will shrink by almost 67million, meaning the EU’s population will then be around 448.84million.

It is often said by the ‘Remain Group’ that the UK cannot ignore this huge trading block; and its true, as we really do want to continue to trade on the same or similar arrangements. But even if we cannot reach an agreement, our export trade will NOT cease, it will just be subject to tariffs. But of course so will imported goods coming in from the EU.

But think on this. Currently the world’s population is approx 7.715 billion.

The Commonwealth alone comprises 53 countries, across all continents. The members have a combined population of 2.3 billion people, almost a third of the world population!

This is where we should be looking first to expand our trade.
Both the USA and India have expressed interest in agreeing trade deals with the UK. These will be complex to negotiate and will require the UK government to make trade-offs. They may also take a few years to negotiate.

But then there’s the political angle to be considered. Do we in the UK want to be amalgamated into the Federal States of Europe and governed by an unelected President and bureaucrats?

The EU is a dangerous lie - perhaps the most dangerous experiment of our time. So much so that the peoples of Europe are not even told the truth about its intentions to destroy the nations of Europe.
Let me finish with a quote from Jean Monnet (Founding Father Of The EU in a letter to a friend 30th April 1952) taken from one of his letters:

"Europe's nations should be guided towards the super-state without their people understanding what is happening. This can be accomplished by successive steps, each disguised as having an economic purpose, but which will eventually and irreversibly lead to federation."
In other words, the aim is to create a European Federal Super-state against the wishes of the peoples in the form of a "fait-accompli".

Knowing this, just how much of a fool would you have to be to go along with it?

TAMESIDE COUNCILLORS COME UP WITH A ‘NUGGET’ BY RENAMING THEMSELVES ‘THE HEN PARTY’

Noticing the huge support from Tameside residents regarding an animal shelter in Clayton who recently sent out an urgent appeal for people to give rescued ex-battery hens a second chance in a loving home, Tameside Councillors have quickly seized on the well-liked initiative and will be starting their local election campaign on 1st April with a totally different approach to garner support after it was discovered that there was growing discontent over BREXIT in the once secure Labour stronghold.

For the duration of the election campaign, they are apparently temporarily renaming themselves ‘The Hen Party’ and this ‘Political Poultry in Motion’ will dress accordingly to add memorable ‘optics’ to their usual mob-handed leaflet drops and targeted doorstep canvassing – this time around, voters will be accosted by eerily smiling flocks of costumed councillors and campaigners, striding up residents garden paths whilst clucking excitedly - all clutching clipboards, brandishing leaflets and wearing KFC (Kindness For Chickens) rosettes.

Speaking for the Conservatives, Cllr Phil’ Chadwick said, “We on the opposition suspect fowl play!”and went on to warn them, “not to count their chickens before they’ve hatched.”

Cllr John Taylor, a guy who likes to ruffle everyone's feathers, adopted his usual stance and commented, “As usual I think I'll just wing it” - However, he was roundly criticized by all for being too cocky!

In the Council chamber, Council Leader, Brenda Warrington and Tory spokesman John Bell; egged on by a few die-hards in the gallery, argued into to the night, constantly egging each other on over the waste of council tax funds and the sheer crassness of Labour hatching this poultry plan, with the Leader finally reminding the long standing Tory Councillor of the Labour controlled pecking order and vigorously defended the proposed Labour campaign slogan of: ‘Labour - By fair means or fowl’ adding, As to the cost, it's mere chickenfeed!"

To which, Cllr Doreen Dickenson cautioned the small clutch of socialists supporters who had flocked to the gallery, that their comedy antics would definitely come home to roost!

The argument was joined by Cllr Philip Fitzpatrick; who himself no spring chicken, stuck to his usual mantra by shouting “United we stand, divided we fowl.” Although having just woken from a power-nap, he once again ended up with ‘egg on his face’ when he was heckled by someone from the gallery saying his councillorship was not all it was cracked up to be, and criticized him for voting to open yet another drive-through fast food outlet in nearby Hattersley, to which he resumed his perch, turned broody, stuck his head under his wing and was not heard from again during the meeting!

This campaign has sprung up because of the sad news that the Millstream Animal Shelter has been tirelessly trying to find homes for 12,000 chickens from a working farm that is due to close down.

If good, ethical homes cannot be found for all of them by the end of March – they will sadly be sent to slaughter.

Food for thought: Poultry is the world’s fastest-growing animal protein source, simply because, it is inexpensive, it experiences limited cultural and religious barriers, is environmentally friendly in comparison to most other animal protein sources, and is generally quite widely available in ASDA, Morrison’s LIDLE, ALDI, ICELAND and other popular food outlets throughout Tameside.

IN ANSWER TO JONATHAN REYNOLDS BLOG...

Dear Jonathan,

Sometimes, being on the outside looking in can have its advantages.

In your blog you tell us that on Wednesday night the Prime Minister gave a speech from 10 Downing Street which you considered deeply irresponsible. Whilst sharing nothing that would move the situation on, the PM laid the blame for the current chaos squarely with MPs, declaring ‘Parliament has done everything possible to avoid making a choice. Motion after motion has been tabled without Parliament ever deciding what it wants. I am not quick to speak ill of our leaders, but I’m afraid this is an out and out lie.’

Forgive me but, if ‘MP’s have been presented with motion after motion without Parliament ever deciding what it wants’, that tells me that this indecision and lack of will to effect the withdrawal from the EU, squarely lands on the shoulders of MP’s. And if The PM’s remarks outlining her frustration have hurt the feelings of MP’s then I suggest they are less thick skinned than the impression they constantly portray.

The point that seems to be conveniently forgotten is that Brexit was never about signing up to a new treaty with the EU. It was about us once again becoming a free independent country, and all that comes with it in choosing our own destiny and if Brexit is defeated then that will send a signal to every supporter of every cause, whether related to Brexit or not, that trying to gain their objectives by traditionally mutually accepted democratic means is now totally pointless. And who will you and all the other 649 MPs try to hang the blame for that situation on?

All over the media today we see a multitude of stories regaling of Sundays ‘Peoples March’ and the paradoxical online petition advocating that we should now revoke ‘Article 50’. Is it just me or do you not find it rather ironic in thinking that the government and the rest of those who sit in parliament should do something just because a lot of people have said that they want it?

What part of ‘Leave’ do ‘Remain’ MPs not understand? Why do so many MPs want to stay in a puppet Parliament, whose laws are created by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels?

You tell us that you voted ‘in favour of the short delay to Brexit, because, crashing out now amid this current mess would be irresponsible and you also voted against freewheeling out with no deal, because your priority is to protect local jobs’.

Labour tell us that if we leave with ‘no deal’ the loss of jobs will be catastrophic and the country will take a huge financial hit; but raw economic interest should not be, and historically hasn’t been, the only factor to consider when we take action as a nation. In fact I find it almost satirical that Labour’s front bench is arguing from an economical perspective. Over their years in opposition they have a not-so-impressive record of voting against many policies that show a direct economic benefit. So I really shouldn’t be surprised as Labour’s track record over their years in office has always ended with the country in financial jeopardy.

People say we could be better off outside the EU, - but as I say, that wasn’t ever a primary argument when the people voted to leave the EU.

These greasy pole climbing MP’s; whether Tory or Labour, show that they lack any vision of the better future that beckons. Quite the opposite in fact, their pathetic whining of how our country will be worse if they take responsibility from the EU tells us more about their inadequacies than about the bold vision of the people.

I am appalled by the machinations and games all politicians are playing. That includes the remain supporting Mrs May, who has lost the initiative throughout the ‘negotiations, the wavering government, Labour, who are split and the rest of the Tory and Labour remainers who have between them made this country a laughing stock.

You’ve got Jeremy Corbyn saying that Labour will back another vote only if it cannot force an election and will oppose Mrs May’s deal (whatever it contains) in all circumstances. So who’s not listening to whom?

On the other hand we hear from Labour’s Deputy Leader Tom Watson calling for a ‘peoples vote’ he can’t even be honest and call it another referendum; as the “only way to resolve” the impasse, in defiance of Labour’s official policy.

It’s quite obvious that all Labour is interested in is to get a General Election or at least another referendum, with the questions ‘Do you want to remain -or- do you want to remain just a little bit?
It’s time to be honest Jonathan. All MPs are letting the people down badly. They blame the public for bravely choosing freedom – but they do they not realise that voters won’t support any political party that denies the democratic vote?

If you doubt what I’m saying you only need listen to the ‘talking heads’ which appear daily on the various ‘political shows’ featuring politicians and ‘think-tank’ experts all spouting their personal opinions; none of which will be refuted by the majoritively pro-remain presenters unless their comments are leaning towards leave, and then they’ll constantly over speak and constantly interrupt which further obfuscates any answer.

In summery Jonathan, the national question is now and has always been one of maintaining a semblance of democracy. Closer to home however - in our ‘first past the post’ voting system; with Tameside’s vast numbers of ‘leave’ voters, your question must be ‘will more people in my constituency vote for me than for my nearest rival’

Jonathan, the campaign was fought, the vote was held, turnout was very high, and the public gave their verdict. MPs on both Tory and Labour benches voted to uphold the decision of the people and published it in their party manifestos. Based on that there must be no devious attempts to remain inside the EU, no attempts to rejoin it through the backdoor and no second referendum until you have enacted the result of the first one.

The UK voted to leave the European Union, and it is the duty of the government and all the MP’s in Parliament to make sure we do just that.

A SAD TALE OF A BROKEN PROMISE

I heard from a young lad the other day who told me that his parents had asked him what he wanted most of all for Christmas. They said whatever he wanted; they'd make sure he got it. So, after giving it serious thought, he’d asked them for a new bike.

That was over 2 years ago he said, but so far there’s still no sign of his bike!

He told me that after months of pleading as to when his new bike would materialise; and despite their constant reassurance that he was going to get one, they told him that the delay was because they couldn’t decide what kind of bike to get him.

His Mum told him that a BMX was too dangerous and that he should have one with stabilisers.

However, he said his Dad thought that was rubbish and said that his Mother is just mollycoddling him.

Apparently, it’s now got so bad that they are both up night after night arguing about it.

When he complained about the situation, they said that when he chose to have a new bike, he had no idea what he was asking for, or how extremely difficult it would be to get a bike that satisfied them both.

They now say that it might not be possible to get me a bike, but they are thinking about giving me a second chance to choose my present.

I hate having politicians for parents.

THESE PEOPLE WILL BE THE ONES RUNNING THE COUNTRY IN A FEW YEARS, GOD HELP US!

Last Friday afternoon, we are told that hundreds, if not thousands of students and their teachers abandoned their classes and who took to the streets of towns and cities to protest over the threat posed by climate change.

Admiral one might say, others would advocate that lessons on the subject and the remedies thereof should  be left in the classroom rather than knocking off school and wandering around the town centres shouting slogans?

One teacher is reported to have said, " Students should be equipped with a wealth of knowledge, and an understanding of how to use their voices effectively, in order to effect social and political change."
Very profound words, But did you notice how this teacher slipped in the words, 'political change'?

You have to hand it to them; the Lefties now have the situation well and truly sown up, hence the bunking off school for what are really political reasons. This is now not only permitted but, actively encouraged.

It makes you wonder, just what or who is really behind these so called ‘students’ protests. Whichever and whoever it is, it's a disgusting display of the faltering modern education system.

Just look again at the footage and listen to the chant they were shouting as they paraded past Downing Street, and tell me what ““One Two Three Four, Theresa May’s a f***ing wh*re.” got to do with climate change?

I don’t know about you, dear reader, but this demonstration, with the well reasoned arguments being chanted by these young people; who have clearly matured beyond their years, has now fully converted me over to the cause of the climate alarmism. Not!

So, Cllr Taylor ...here lies the answer to reducing the voting age!

ANY MORE BRIGHT IDEAS?

If proof were needed that there's a lot of folk in the wrong job pretending to do stuff they're incapable of doing... this ‘tweet’ must rank very near the top of the list!

Conservative MP Scott Mann, who represents North Cornwall, wrote on Twitter: “Every knife sold in the UK should have a GPS tracker fitted in the handle. It’s time we had a national database like we do with guns.”

According to official figures, last year, 21,484 offences of possessing or making threats with blades or offensive weapons resulted in a conviction or caution.

However, even if it was possible for the government to actually ‘chip’ knives; with an estimated 300million ‘knives’ in households throughout the UK, how many extra resources would be needed to monitor the movement of these knives?

This idiotic ‘tweet’ has demonstrated that much of today’s penchant for self-indulgent, ill-thought communication is majoritively shallow and non-reflective. Even amongst politicians!

The fact that this laughable "politician" draws a salary and huge expenses from the public purse is scandalous!

WILL BRITISH DEMOCRACY CAPITULATE TO EU DEMANDS?

Has there ever been another time in living memory when politicians have been so spectacularly out of touch with public sentiment - or so sinisterly cavalier about overriding the democratic wishes of the people, than what we have now?

At the 2016 EU referendum; a total of 17.4million — the largest voting bloc in British electoral history — voted for a clean exit from the EU.

Locally in Tameside, the electorate also voted overwhelmingly to leave the EU and take back control from Brussels. A total of 61.6% (67,829) voted in favour of leaving the union, with just 38.9% (43,118) opting to stay in.

Ironically, throughout the United Kingdom last year, MPs celebrated the 100th anniversary of women and working class men getting the vote. This year, they are using their privileged political positions to overthrow something that the majority of British people voted for.

The hypocrisy is staggering.

Whether it’s Europhile Tories or Labour remainers, SNP and Lib Dem MPs who have long loathed the idea of Brexit, or the Green’s, we are now faced with an army of parliamentarians who, pursuing their own agendas, plan to knock down any deal so they can set about knocking down Brexit!

Despite their ‘weasel words’ it has become quite clear just what our parliament really thinks of democracy and their attitude to carrying out the wishes of the majority has been spectacularly exposed by their reaction to the vote for British independence. The current problem is that with almost one-fifth of our politicians being lawyers and the majority of the rest being career politicians, there are clear conflicts of interest which come to the forefront as they cleverly exploit any given situation to further their own political benefits.

We should all now remind our 3 local MP’s (Jonathan Reynolds, Angela Rayner and Andrew Gwynne) who all voted to remain in the EU, that their function first and foremost is to represent our interests and concerns in the House of Commons. If they do not vote to implement the will of the majority, then I fear that the anger that will be unleashed could be calamitous for parliamentary democracy.

It is a shaming situation in which this formerly great country finds itself and I have little doubt we have now become a laughing stock across Europe and the rest of the world.
