DON’T BAN, EDUCATE!

Taking a lead from our own dictatorial Tameside councillors, some half-witted politician is now wanting to ban Kellogg’s Frosties!

Introduced in the early 50’s and recognised by its mascot ‘Tony the Tiger’ Kellogg’s have been selling their frosted flakes in virtually every country in the world.

However, in an effort to stop kids getting fat, Labour is demanding that breakfast cereals like Kellogg’s Frosties, Coco Pops and Sugar Puffs should be banned!

For God’s sake, Frosties have been on sale for more than 60 years. Does the Labour Party think that people don’t know there’s sugar in them?

What is it with these left-wing politicians, - 'We want to control every aspect of your life'.

Sure if a product contains too much, fat, sugar or salt and could cause a medical problem - educate people about it, but at least let them take responsibility for their own decisions.

Everyone knows a balanced diet is a sensible thing. But this continuous march toward complete state control on everything people may or may not do is not the way to go. This is typical of ‘nanny state’ politicians thinking they know what’s 'grrrrreat' for everyone.

It’s a pity they didn’t think about children’s fitness when they were selling off sports fields.

According to statistics published in the Commons Library, it shows 203 pitches were lost in England and Wales under Labour, with Ministers approving 49 sales in the four years after London was chosen to become the host city for the 2012 Olympics.

The problem is it's is perceived that it’s no longer safe for kids to play outdoors as they used to, they have too much entertainment that involves too little physical exercise, but most damningly of all, there's no such thing as real competitive sport in schools anymore.  Spirited sport was banned under Labour as promoting elitism.

And who was to blame for that, Mr Labour Person?
