Tomorrow (Friday 18 Jan 2013), David Cameron will go to meet
his European counterparts and give his long-awaited speech on Britain's place
in the EU!
According to his verbal Ping-Pong with Young Wallace at yesterday’s
PMQ’s he is expected to promise that he will use any further revision of the EU
treaties, including plans to increase the economic and fiscal integration of
the Eurozone, to rewrite Britain's membership terms.
Any repatriation of powers
and new terms of membership will then be put to the people in a referendum.
Sounds good, but it still leaves a lot unexplained and a lot
of water can pass under the bridge before we reach that stage. One must
remember that his attempts at renegotiation won't actually start until 2015
after the general election; and on the rather unlikely assumption that he wins
that election; maybe with some rigged and loaded questioning, a referendum may
follow afterwards, but that would most likely be around shall 2018!
But then again, what happens if he does not get that EU agreement?
Remember all 26 member countries must all agree to our terms, which is pretty
unlikely!
So, will we get an ‘in/out’ referendum or will we be treated
like the Irish and offered referenda after referenda until the result is the
one our EU masters accept?
Whatever happens, one thing is clear. Young Wallace and
Calamity Clegg will never offer us a referendum.
Personally, I think all this speculation of leaving the EU
is complete nonsense, as are the chances of regaining any meaningful powers from the unelected in Brussels.
If David Cameron is to continue to lead the Conservative
Party and have a snow-ball’s chance in Hell of winning the next General
Election, his one and only chance to gain any credibility, is to call for an
‘in/out’ EU referendum before the end of this year and stop prevaricating in
order to appease the traitorous Liberal party!
Failing that, UKIP are going to take an increasing share of
the protest vote in 2015 which will let in Young Wallace and the wrecking crew.
Should that happen we might as well sign everything; lock
stock and barrel over to the unelected bureaucrats in Brussels!
